Held on Treasure Island, Cars and Coffee San Francisco’s was a charity event where all profits go to Gum Moon Women’s Residence and Asian Women’s Resource Center.
The Import Image staff came out a little before the official event started at 8am. Even then, well over 100 modified and custom cars were on display while their owners were conversing with one another over coffee. Closer to 8am and the line to enter the huge lot started to backup. An hour after the start of the event, we overheard from the CHP that on the west bound route of the I-80 was backed up beyond the toll plaza to enter Treasure Island! The eastbound route from The City must have been just as bad. Needless to say we estimated over a thousand cars either on display or there to attend the event had come out. And more were still arriving when we left. We thank the organizers for holding this excellent charity event for car lovers of all types.
