KCON began as a one day event in 2012 at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Irvine.
\nAfter three years of exponential growth, KCON 2015 grew to a five-day festival\u00a0in two locations: a three-day festival in the enormous Los Angeles Convention Center,\u00a0two nights of concerts in the iconic Staples Center and a first-ever KCON in the New York Metro Area\u00a0at the Prudential Center with a concert night!\u00a0KCON now stands as one of the \u201c22 Best Music Festivals of 2015\u201d listed by FUSE.<\/p>\n

Hallyu continues to prove itself as a global phenomenon as KCON 2016 expands to take place once again in Japan and heads over\u00a0to the UAE for KCON Abu Dhabi.\u00a0This will be the first time such a large K-pop event is being hosted in the Middle East and marks an\u00a0enormous expansion of K-Pop overseas.
